The Paris Workshop Kits & Instruments

I am very pleased to be selected as a representative for The Paris Workshop and the fine kits and instruments designed by Marc Ducornet and Emmanuel Danset. These kits are the basis for instruments made by some of the finest builders in the world. In the tradition of the great ateliers of the 18th century, many builders, including myself, find using superior parts made by specialists to be a superior method of building. TPWs kits are made from the finest materials and to the demanding specifications of Marc and Emmanuel. They have the space and the time to age wood for decades.

They stand behind their product, so I am proud to use their offerings and to offer them to you.

"And now I have it on the bench, identifying all those bits and pieces.  The parts are beautifully machined and I look forward to putting it together."

You CAN build your own instrument! We offer our kits in different stage of construction from loose pieces in a box to nearly complete save the musical work and decoration. The difficulty level of the kits is clearly labeled anywhere from easy to very difficult. I am happy to guide you in selecting the right model and level.
